Labouring in water has been found to ease the pain of contractions, helping you to relax and to maintain a rhythm of breathing and contractions

The Kaya Stool can be placed in a shower or submerged in a pool or tub to facilitate the many benefits of water during labour and delivery.   Many women find that being immersed in the water of a warm tub, or having it poor down on you in a shower setting, can help to ease the pain of contractions during labour.

Lower the stool into the water tilted slightly forward so that air is able to escape from the 3 holes at the back of the upper part of the Kaya stool.  Once the stool fills it will remain gently submerged under the surface of the water.  The stool will automatically empty as you lift it out of the tub.
